Day 1
September 9, 2005 8:30 am
The morning started abruptly for one Jason Russo. My persistent pounding on the door and ringing of the door bell finally awoke Jason from his drunken slumber. The plan was to meet Jason at his house in Reading to pack his bags in the Volvo and then car pool into the office. It became quickly apparent that Jason would not be making the commute into the office with me and that he would need the day to rehydrate himself and get over the anguish of the first image of his day being that of his dinner from the prior night (a wet burrito) sitting in a bowl next to his bed. The new plan was for me to proceed to the office solo, tie up my loose ends, and head back to Tewksbury to pick up Daisy by 3:30pm. We, then, would make our way back to Reading to pick up Jason and head to Logan airport to meet Kim, Jason and Jen.
3:30 pm Daisy and I say our good byes to Zachary and Alex who will be watched by Daisy's mother while we are away. We will miss them greatly.
4:00 pm We arrive in Reading to pick up a recovered Jason who, as we pull into his driveway, is sitting outside surrounded by his luggage.
4:45 pm We arrive at Logan Airport, Terminal E, and proceed to the British Airways gate to rendezvous with Kim, Jason and Jen, check our bags and collect our boarding passes. We are confirmed on British Airways Flight #BA0212, departing at 6:10 pm EST. Our flight is scheduled to arrive at London's Heathrow Airport at 5:52am Saturday morning. We have approximately a three hour layover at Heathrow before we depart for Athens, Greece. British Airways flight BA0640 is scheduled to depart from Heathrow at approximately 11am and is scheduled to arrive in Athens at 3pm. Upon arriving in Greece, we are scheduled to be picked up by a driver from Endless Blue Yacht Charters who will transport us to Marina Zeas Piraeus, Athens where we will promptly board our charter and depart for our first stop (TBD).
